The all-too-familiar moment
Sunday evening, quarter to midnight, empty slide 3. You've already spent hours in PowerPoint. You type a bullet point, delete it, type something else. The lesson for Monday's first period still isn't ready. And all the while you know this isn't why you became a teacher.
The problem isn't the content — that's in your head. The problem is that PowerPoint forces you to structure every slide separately, phrase every bullet separately, devise every case separately. Pedagogical models (constructive alignment, scaffolding) exist to solve this. The tools just don't align with them.
Three flows for three kinds of lessons
Theory Flow
For knowledge transfer. Introducing new material, explaining concepts, building up theory.
Explanation → example → summary → quiz
Case Flow
For vocational learning. Healthcare cases, legal scenarios, technical analyses.
Case → analysis → reflection → transfer
Quiz Flow
For assessment and formative evaluation. Knowledge checks, exam preparation, revision.
Question → feedback → deep dive → score

Frequently asked questions
How long does it take to create a lesson in LectaMe?+
About 30 seconds for the AI generation, plus 5-15 minutes for your own adjustments. Many teachers use the output directly in the first lesson and refine it based on class feedback.
Do my students need an account?+
No, not to join live. Students open the lesson with a session code or QR code: no email, no password, no app. For parts that track progress, such as learning goals and the portfolio, students do log in. GDPR-safe, including for minor students.
What is layered teaching in LectaMe?+
Every slide can have a base layer plus optional deep-dive layers. Fast students click through to the extra layer, others stay on the basics. One lesson for different levels at once — without you preparing two versions.
Does it work for my subject area?+
Yes. LectaMe works for any topic — from anatomy and engineering to economics and ethics. The AI is subject-neutral: provide the topic and audience, and the presentation is tailored accordingly.
What if the AI generates something incorrect?+
You can adjust everything in the editor — text, slides, quiz questions, order. AI output is a starting point, not an endpoint. As the teacher, you remain ultimately responsible for the accuracy of the content.
Is it GDPR-safe?+
Yes. Data is stored on our own servers in Amsterdam. AI features involving students' personal data are temporarily switched off, and AI providers do not use your input for model training. Students do not provide an email address. Complies with GDPR requirements for educational institutions and minors.
