How do participants join a live session?+
With a session code or a QR scan. No account, no app, no email address. It works in any browser on a phone, tablet or laptop. For students and participants this means: being present is enough to take part. For teachers and trainers: no barrier, no registration list, no time lost onboarding participants.
Which interaction types are included in Live Sessions?+
Multiple choice quiz, open questions, polls with visualisation, word clouds, ranking questions (put items in order) and pin-the-spot (click on a specific spot in an image). All elements appear embedded in the slides of your presentation — no separate interaction app alongside your presentation.
How many participants does a live session support?+
Free plan: up to 15 participants. Starter: up to 50. Pro: up to 100. Team: up to 200. For conferences and large events, custom licences are available — get in touch via /contact. The architecture is built on websockets and real-time sync, so even with 200 participants the response stays within 1 second.
Is Live Sessions GDPR-safe for underage students?+
Yes. Students do not provide any personal data — no email address, no name (optionally a screen name they choose themselves). All communication goes through the teacher, who does have an account. A data processing agreement (DPA) is available for schools. Data is stored in Frankfurt (EU). Students are never contacted directly by LectaMe.
How does Live Sessions compare to Mentimeter, Kahoot or Slido?+
Mentimeter is an interaction layer you run alongside another presentation tool. Kahoot is a gamified quiz tool. Slido focuses on Q&A at large events. LectaMe integrates the same interaction elements directly into your presentation — no switching between tools. Plus: the same environment includes AI presentation generation, the Video Studio and Image Studio. One platform for the entire lesson workflow.
Can I analyse the results after the session?+
Yes. For each session LectaMe stores: participant counts, answers per question, timeline and sentiment. In the Pro and Team plans you see this linked per learning objective. For teachers this means: after the lesson knowing exactly which concepts have been understood and which have not — input for formative assessment.
Does it work on poor school internet?+
The participant side is deliberately lightweight: only text, small state updates, no video streaming. It works on slow 4G and older school internet. The teacher side asks a bit more (slides + media) but is also optimised. In the event of a real outage the presentation keeps working offline — only the live interaction pauses.
What if I don't want interaction — just to present?+
That's fine. LectaMe can also be used without a live session — save your presentation, use it in the lesson like a static slide deck, and only activate Live Sessions when you want to. The same presentation can also be used in self-paced mode (learning path/microlearning) without a live session.
