LectaMe is a digital learning environment for MBO and HBO
LectaMe is a Dutch, AI-supported digital learning environment for MBO and HBO. Teachers design and teach lessons, assignments and assessments there. Students learn, practise and work on their learning goals and portfolio. Workplace mentors guide and assess students in the workplace. Because everything comes together for the same student, lessons, practice, feedback, development and workplace learning form one continuous learning line.
LectaMe started as a Presentation studio for interactive lessons, and that's still a strong part of it. The platform is now broader: it supports the whole learning line, from lesson design to learning in the workplace.
Who does what in LectaMe?

Designs lessons and teaches them interactively, sets assignments, practice sets and assessments, marks with rubrics and guides students with their learning goals and portfolio.

Is LectaMe just a presentation tool?
No. The Presentation studio is one part of LectaMe. The learning environment also includes independent practice (including the Study Trainer, Maths Studio and Conversation Trainer), digital assignments, the Assessment Studio, learning goals and guidance, a student portfolio and a practice environment for work placements (BPV). Which parts a school uses is up to the school.
Is LectaMe an LMS?
Not in the traditional sense. A school's LMS or virtual learning environment often handles course enrolment, the official grade records and links with the student records system. LectaMe doesn't have those functions, and there's no LTI integration. LectaMe is a digital learning environment for the learning process itself: lessons, practice, assignments, assessments, feedback, learning goals, portfolio and workplace learning. Schools use it alongside their existing systems; results can be exported as CSV.
How does LectaMe use AI?
AI drafts lessons, suggests draft questions, flashcards, maths exercises and feedback, helps students sharpen their learning goals and plays the conversation partner in the Conversation Trainer. For practice questions and open quiz questions, AI gives students immediate formative feedback. What AI prepares for the teacher, such as draft questions or suggested feedback and points for assignments, the teacher reviews first. Official assessments remain with teachers and workplace mentors.
What's possible without an account, and what isn't?
Without an account you can join live in a lesson via a code or QR code, work through homework lessons, and complete assignments and assessments if the teacher allows it. A teacher can create a first lesson without an account. For anything that belongs to you over a longer period, such as practice progress, learning goals, portfolio and workplace data, an account is needed.
Not separate tools, but one learning line
The parts of LectaMe connect with each other. What the teacher offers in the lesson, the student then practises. Assignments and assessments produce feedback, results and evidence count towards learning goals and portfolio, and what the student shows in the workplace ends up in the same line.

Frequently asked questions about LectaMe
Which education sectors is LectaMe designed for?
LectaMe is built for vocational and higher professional education in the Netherlands: MBO and HBO. Concepts such as work placements (BPV), work processes, qualification files and maths levels are built in. The Presentation studio is also used by trainers.
Can students practise independently in LectaMe?
Yes. In the Study Trainer, students practise with flashcards and spaced repetition, in the Maths Studio with maths problems at levels 1F to 3F, and in the Conversation Trainer they practise professional conversations with an AI conversation partner. There are also microlearnings and homework lessons.
Is LectaMe GDPR-compliant?
Yes. Data is stored on our own servers in the Netherlands and AI services don't use your data to train models. Students who join live don't provide any personal data, and mentors only see the students linked to them. Schools can sign a data processing agreement.
What does LectaMe cost?
You can start for free, with a monthly AI credit allowance included, no credit card required. For heavier use and for schools there are paid plans; current prices are on the pricing page.
