For healthcare education

Case material, anatomy and clinical reasoning — in one environment

Designed for teachers in nursing, medicine and healthcare programmes. Generate patient cases with AI, design anatomical illustrations with Image Studio and activate clinical reasoning live with QR participation. For MBO levels 3-4, HBO Bachelor and specialist programmes. GDPR-safe, EU-hosted.

What healthcare education demands — and how Lectame answers

Healthcare education revolves around case material, imagery and clinical reasoning — three things where generic presentation tools fall short. Our studios solve exactly those three.

AI patient case material

Give a topic and AI builds a complete case with SBAR, history, parameters and differential diagnosis questions.

Anatomical illustrations

Image Studio generates cross-sections, diagrams and patient personas. Straight into your presentation.

Live clinical reasoning

Students formulate their differential diagnosis; the teacher sees lines of thinking in real time.

LCL for mixed-level classes

One case with layers — basics, depth, scaffolding. No more making three versions.

Typical healthcare education use cases

  • 1Clinical reasoning for dyspnoea — a case with vital signs, differential diagnosis live with participants, scaffolding for less experienced students.
  • 2SBAR training — a step-by-step report reconstruction with multiple choice; students choose which information to report and in what order.
  • 3Anatomy teaching — Image Studio for cross-sections and organ-system overviews, with layered reveal during the lesson.
  • 4Pharmacology — patient cases with medication interactions, polls on correct dosing and warning signs not to miss.
  • 5Patient safety — Videostudio for demos of hand hygiene or technique explanations, with built-in check questions.

Privacy and GDPR for healthcare training

Never use real patient data in Lectame — we are an educational tool, not a healthcare information system. Use anonymised cases or fictitious personas. A data processing agreement (DPA) is available for healthcare training.

EU hosting (Frankfurt), AI providers do not use customer data for training, and students do not hand over any personal data. Read more at /ai-belofte.

Frequently asked questions

Which healthcare training programmes is Lectame suitable for?+

MBO nursing levels 3 and 4, HBO Nursing Bachelor, medical degree programmes, allied health programmes (physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy), pharmacy assistants, medical assistants and specialist postgraduate programmes. The combination of case-based learning, anatomical imagery and live clinical reasoning is directly applicable in these contexts.

How does AI-generated patient case material work?+

Provide a topic ("dyspnoea in an elderly patient", "early recognition of sepsis") and a lesson type (case, clinical reasoning, SBAR). Lectame generates a patient case with an SBAR report, vital signs, history, findings and quiz questions at the right moments. For the teacher: a skeleton ready in 30 seconds, with your own clinical experience layered on top.

Can I generate anatomical illustrations with Image Studio?+

Yes. Prompts such as "Heart in cross-section for MBO nursing" or "Anatomy of the liver with corresponding lab values". Image Studio delivers images that fit straight into your presentation. For teachers: a scalable alternative to royalty-free anatomy illustrations. For patient cases you can generate anonymised personas ("elderly woman with diabetes, clinical setting").

Is patient data in Lectame safe and GDPR-compliant?+

Never use real patient data. Lectame is intended for educational material — anonymised cases, fictitious personas. EU hosting (Frankfurt), a data processing agreement for healthcare training is available, and no customer data is used for AI training. For teaching contexts involving real patient care: always anonymise before input, and refer to the existing healthcare information systems for clinical decisions.

How does live clinical reasoning with participants work?+

Students join via QR. During the case: history question → students formulate their differential diagnosis → the teacher sees the various lines of thinking in real time → discussion. Or: a step-by-step SBAR reconstruction with multiple choice, where students choose which information to report. Live data shows where students reason clinically well and where bias or gap-blockages arise.

What is the LCL model for healthcare education?+

The LCL model (Layered Collective Learning) is Lectame's instructional model for differentiation within a single lesson. For healthcare education: an MBO level 4 class has stronger and weaker students. With LCL you build one case with multiple layers — basics for everyone, depth for those who can handle more, scaffolding for those who need support. No making three versions; one layered lesson.
