Students don't just use LectaMe during the lesson. They practise independently with flashcards and spaced repetition in the Study Trainer, work through maths problems in the Maths Studio, practise professional conversations with an AI conversation partner in the Conversation Trainer, and work through short learning modules. They get instant feedback, and the teacher sees where the group gets stuck.

Conversation Trainer
Practise a professional conversation out loud with an AI character and get tips afterwards. The current scenarios come from healthcare.
Microlearning and homework
Short learning modules and lessons as homework, which students work through via a link, even without an account.
Practising after the lesson
After a live session, students redo the questions and review the material.
Digital skills and AI literacy
Learning lines on digital skills and responsible use of AI, with exercises per topic.

The role of AI
AI suggests flashcards and maths problems based on a topic, and plays the conversation partner in the Conversation Trainer. For maths, a maths engine checks every suggested problem; only problems with one unambiguously correct answer are used.
What AI doesn't do: AI does not decide official assessments and does not replace the teacher's explanation. Maths exercises are marked by the maths engine, not by a language model.

Without an account: Microlearning, homework links and practising after a live session work with just a link or code.
With an account: The Study Trainer, the Maths Studio and the Conversation Trainer work with an account, so your progress is saved and the repetition matches your answers.

The parts of LectaMe connect with each other. What the teacher offers in the lesson, the student then practises. Assignments and assessments produce feedback, results and evidence count towards learning goals and portfolio, and what the student shows in the workplace ends up in the same line.

Yes. With the Study Trainer (flashcards with spaced repetition), the Maths Studio and the Conversation Trainer, students practise independently at their own pace. There are also microlearnings and homework lessons that can be opened via a link.
Can you practise maths in LectaMe?
Yes, in the Maths Studio. The problems align with Dutch reference levels 1F to 3F and can have a professional context, such as healthcare or technology. Because the problems are generated and checked with fixed rules, the answer model is always correct and the feedback can identify what went wrong.
Can you practise speaking skills in LectaMe?
LectaMe has a Conversation Trainer in which students practise a professional conversation out loud with an AI character and get feedback afterwards. The current scenarios come from healthcare. It's training in conversation skills for professional practice, not a language course.
Does the practice adapt to the student?
Partly. The Study Trainer uses spaced repetition: cards you answer incorrectly come back sooner. The Maths Studio keeps track per topic of what you've mastered. Other modules follow the level chosen by the teacher or student.
Does the teacher see what students are practising?
For practice material that the teacher sets up, such as a maths set or flashcard set for a group, the teacher sees the results for that group. This shows you which topics need extra explanation.
