Terms and conditions

Your lesson. Your presentation. Your rights. These terms describe how Lectame and you — as a teacher, trainer or organization — interact with each other.

Last updated: 30 mei 2026 · Document version 2.0

Plain-language summary

  • You retain the rights to your presentations, texts and uploads. Lectame only receives a limited technical license to display, store and synchronize that content.
  • You check and edit AI output yourself — we claim no rights to it and give no guarantees of uniqueness.
  • You are responsible for what you upload and share, and for the rights to third-party content.
  • Paid subscriptions can be cancelled monthly. Credits or services already used are non-refundable.

1. Definitions

  • Lectame, we, us: LYNT V.O.F., trading under the name Lectame, established in Rotterdam, Nederland, registered in the commercial register under Chamber of Commerce number 97241229.
  • User, you: the natural or legal person who uses Lectame — visitor, guest user, teacher, trainer, administrator or organization.
  • Participant: a person who participates without an account in a live session organized by a user.
  • User content: all content created, uploaded or entered by you — presentations, texts, images, prompts, responses.
  • AI output: content generated using our AI features based on your input.

2. Applicability

These terms apply to all use of Lectame. By using Lectame you accept these terms. Other or additional terms of a user are expressly rejected, unless we accept them in writing.

3. What is Lectame?

Lectame is an AI-supported presentation platform for teachers, trainers and organizations. You can create, import, share and use presentations in interactive live sessions. Participants can join via a session code or QR code to take part in, among other things, quiz questions, polls, open questions and word clouds.

4. Account registration and security

You can use Lectame via an account or via the guest function ("Get started for free"). With an account, you are responsible for the confidentiality of your login details. We strongly recommend enabling two-factor authentication when it is available.

Do you suspect misuse of your account? Report it immediately via [email protected].

5. Use by minors

Creating an account is reserved for persons aged 16 or older, or for younger persons with the permission of a parent or school. Participants in a live session may also be minors; they take part under the responsibility of the school or teacher organizing the session.

6. Permitted and prohibited use

Permitted

  • Use for education, training, awareness and knowledge sharing.
  • Inviting participants to live sessions.
  • Sharing presentations with colleagues or classes.
  • Importing your own or lawfully obtained content.

Not permitted

  • Infringing the rights of third parties, including copyrights, trademark rights and portrait rights.
  • Distributing unlawful, hateful, violent or misleading content.
  • Entering patient data, special categories of personal data or other confidential data into AI prompts or presentations without a lawful basis.
  • Automated scraping, reverse engineering, bypassing quotas, or misuse of the guest flow.
  • Reselling or sublicensing Lectame without our written permission.
  • Attempts to obtain personal data of other users or participants.

7. Subscriptions, pricing and payments

Lectame has a free version and paid subscriptions. The current prices, limits and features are on the pricing page. Payments are handled by our payment service Mollie B.V. We do not receive card details.

Subscription periods are automatically renewed unless you cancel. Discounts or bonus periods received are not paid out in cash. VAT is charged separately where applicable.

We may adjust our prices. We announce price changes at least 30 days before the effective date; you can then cancel free of charge before the new price takes effect.

8. Free version and guest flow ('Get started for free')

You can try Lectame without an account via the "Get started for free" function. Quotas and limits apply, which we may adjust from time to time to prevent misuse and keep the service available for everyone.

The guest flow is free of charge and you do not pay for the trial period. To continue your work, we recommend creating a free account so that your presentations remain securely linked.

9. Cancellation

You can cancel your paid subscription at any time via your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. AI credits, import quotas or services already used are not refunded.

You can delete your account itself via your settings. We apply a 30-day safety period during which you can revoke a deletion request; after that, your data is permanently deleted from active systems. Any remnants in rotating backups disappear according to the backup schedule of our hosting provider.

10. Right of withdrawal

Lectame is intended for business users and educational institutions. Have you taken out a paid subscription as a consumer? Then you have a 14-day right of withdrawal after the purchase date, unless you have already actively used paid features within that period. Email [email protected] for a withdrawal request.

11. Availability, maintenance and changes

We do our best to keep Lectame well available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance. We may add, change or remove features. We announce material changes for paid accounts in advance.

12. AI features

Lectame offers AI features that can generate presentations, summaries and formative feedback. The following applies to their use:

  • No personal data in prompts. Do not enter names, patient data, special categories of personal data or confidential information. Use fictitious cases or pseudonyms.
  • User review. AI output is a suggestion — you read, check and edit it yourself before using it.
  • Formative, not binding. AI feedback to participants is intended as formative support and is never used on its own as a binding assessment.
  • No model training on your content. We do not use your content or participant responses to train our own AI models. See the privacy policy for agreements with our AI provider.

13. Intellectual property of Lectame

The Lectame platform, the source code, the design, the brand name and all libraries and templates we provide are and remain the property of Lectame or its licensors. You receive a limited, revocable usage license to use Lectame in accordance with these terms.

14. Rights to presentations and user content

The user, or the rights holder on whose behalf the user acts, retains the intellectual property rights to presentations, texts, images, assignments, prompts and other materials that the user enters, creates or uploads in Lectame. Using Lectame does not lead to a transfer of these rights to Lectame.

Within Lectame we distinguish, where applicable, roles such as legal rights holder, document owner, organization administrator, editor, presenter and reader. A role within Lectame says nothing about who is the legal rights holder outside Lectame.

15. Limited license to Lectame

The user grants Lectame a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to technically store, convert, process, synchronize and display user content, solely to the extent necessary to carry out the features of the service chosen by the user.

This license expressly does not include:

  • sale, republication or disclosure to third parties;
  • use in marketing communications without separate consent;
  • use as training material for AI models without separate consent;
  • transfer to providers other than those named in the privacy policy.

The license ends as soon as you delete the user content or cancel your account, except for necessary presence in temporary backups and statutory retention obligations.

16. Prompts, instructions and uploads

AI prompts, instructions and uploads that you enter in Lectame are treated by us as user content. We claim no rights to them. For the use of AI, the rules from article 12 apply (no personal data in prompts, fictitious cases or pseudonyms).

Regarding AI output: Lectame claims no intellectual property rights to AI output generated for you. Insofar as rights may apply to AI output, they do not accrue to Lectame. Lectame does not guarantee that AI output is unique, complete, error-free or free of third-party rights. You remain responsible for review, editing and lawful use.

17. Third-party content

You are responsible for obtaining the necessary rights, licenses, permissions and source attributions for third-party content. The fact that content can technically be uploaded, shared or published does not automatically mean that you are legally entitled to do so.

18. Sharing, collaborating and copying

Lectame supports various sharing modes. A recipient of a shared presentation can, depending on the setting, view, present, copy or edit it. Sharing does not lead to a transfer of ownership.

If a recipient makes a copy, a new presentation is created under that recipient's control. When you delete your original, existing copies held by others are not automatically deleted — for that reason we also cannot guarantee this.

19. Organization and school accounts

When Lectame is used within an organization account or school context, an authorized administrator can manage presentations within that environment and, where the functionality exists, transfer them. This does not make Lectame the party that determines who is the legal rights holder — that arrangement lies between the user and the organization.

If a teacher leaves an organization, the presentations created by that teacher may remain with the organization, depending on the arrangements within that organization. We recommend that organizations document this internally.

20. Participant responses

Lectame claims no ownership of responses, reactions or contributions from participants. These contributions are processed solely for the execution of the session, formative feedback and reporting to the authorized teacher or organization administrator.

21. Export and deletion

You can export your data and presentations or delete your account at any time via your settings. Deletion becomes final after 30 days; during that period you can still revoke the deletion.

22. Public publication

If you make a presentation public via a public link or via a gallery supported by Lectame, you are responsible for checking whether you are authorized to share all texts, images and materials publicly.

By default, every presentation is private. Public publication requires an explicit action from you.

23. Copyright infringement complaints

Do you suspect that content on Lectame infringes your intellectual property rights? Email [email protected] with:

  • a description of the protected work;
  • a location of the allegedly infringing content;
  • your contact details;
  • a substantiation showing that you are the rights holder or are acting on behalf of the rights holder.

We investigate reports carefully and, pending that, may temporarily block or remove reported content when a complaint is sufficiently substantiated.

24. Liability

We do our best to make Lectame work well, but the service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to direct damage up to a maximum equal to the fee you paid us in the twelve months preceding the event causing the damage, with a minimum of € 100.

Liability for indirect damage, consequential damage, lost revenue, loss of data or reputational damage is excluded, except in cases of intent or deliberate recklessness.

25. Force majeure

We are not liable for failures resulting from force majeure, such as disruptions at suppliers, network outages or government measures.

26. Changes to the terms

We may amend these terms. We announce substantial changes in advance via the website or by email. By continuing to use the service after the announcement, the new terms apply.

27. Applicable law

These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes are submitted to the competent court in the district where Lectame is established, insofar as mandatory law does not provide otherwise.
