What the MarketAgent stores — and how to delete it.

• Anonymous visitor ID: a random cookie (lectame_guest_id) or a hashed version of your IP address. It contains no personal information.
• Conversation content: the messages you type to the agent and the answers you receive. Used to improve the agent and to add common questions to our knowledge base.
• Page context: which Lectame page you came from (e.g. /voor-docenten) — only the path, no tracking outside lectame.com.
• Visitor type: only if you indicated it yourself (teacher, trainer, etc.). No auto-detection.
• Email: only if you actively enter it after 4+ questions. Same for newsletter sign-up (a separate checkbox).
• User agent: a short string from your browser — handy to see which device you have conversations on.

We never store your raw IP address. Only a hashed version so we can detect abuse.

The agent sets one first-party cookie (lectame_guest_id) so we can recognize your conversation across pages. We also store your conversation locally in localStorage so you can pick up where you left off — that stays on your own device.

No Google Analytics integration, no Facebook pixel, no external trackers in this agent.

• Conversations: indefinitely without action from you — until you delete it yourself or request removal. We set no automatic expiry date, because we use older conversations for knowledge base extraction.
• localStorage: 7 days, then auto-cleared on your own device.
• Cookie: 30 days or until you delete it yourself.

We link your email to that one conversation so we can send you a summary. After that we do not automatically add you to a newsletter — unless you checked that separately. In that case you'll still receive a verification email to confirm double opt-in (Lectame standard; feel free to ignore it).

You'll get an immediate confirmation with the number of deleted rows. After that you'll also lose the ongoing context in your browser, so on your next visit you'll start over.
