Quiz timing: when to place questions in your lesson?
The moment you place a question is almost as important as the question itself. Three patterns that work:
Pattern 1 — Understanding check after each concept
Immediately after introducing a new concept (5‑7 minutes of explanation): a short question at level 1‑2. Goal: detect where things go wrong before you continue.
Pattern 2 — Application question halfway
Mid‑lesson: a level‑3 question that combines all previous concepts. Goal: force students to integrate the material.
